Click on the last button on the left side Settings, then on the second tab at the top Users.
This will display a list of all the users related to the Shipper account.
How to create a new user in Fr8App
Attention. Only Carrier account users with the Administrator role and their Fr8App Representative have permission to add a new user. If you need to create a new user and are not able to do so, contact either of them.
Click on the last button on the left side Settings, then on the second tab at the top Users.
This will display a list of all the users related to the Shipper account.
Click on the add user button, just below the Users tab.
Fill in all the corresponding fields, as well as the roles that will be assigned to you and click Save.
User roles in Fr8App
There are different types of users in a Carrier account for managing information related to the carrier's account.
All of these users have access to information related to the carrier's loads, and they vary in terms of permissions and notifications.
Account Admin
Refers to an administrator user within the carrier account, who has permissions to create users and assign them their roles.
This type of user does NOT receive notifications about loads.
Allowed: Create users and assign them their roles. View, fill in and grant their information and documents within loads.
Not Allowed: --
Accountant
Refers to a non-administrator user within the carrier account.
This type of user does NOT receive notifications about loads.
Allowed: View, fill in and grant their information and documents within loads.
Not Allowed: Create users and assign them their roles.
Dispatcher
Refers to a non-administrator user who is oriented to tasks related to dispatch (assigning driver, tractor, trailer) and load operations.
This user role DOES receive notifications related to loads, for example: when a load is assigned to the carrier, when a load is pending dispatch, etc.
Allowed: View, fill in and provide information and documents within loads.
Not Allowed: Create users and assign their roles.
POD Manager
Refers to a user within the carrier account who has the peculiarity of receiving notifications when the POD document has not been uploaded hours after unloading, and can upload the POD himself.
This user DOES receive notifications related to the POD, at 2, 6 and 10 hours after unloading.
Allowed: View, fill in and provide information and documents within loads.
Not Allowed: Create users and assign them their roles.
How to edit a user in Fr8App
You can only edit a user if you have the Account admin role.
You can only edit the fields: First name, Last name, Username and Mobile number. As well as if the user is in Active status and the user's Roles.
Click on the last button on the left side Settings, then on the second tab at the top Users.
This will display a list of all the users related to the Carrier account.
Identify the user and click on the Edit button.
Edit the required fields, status and/or roles and click Save.
How to delete a user in Fr8App
Only Carrier account users with the Administrator role have permissions to delete a new user.
Click on the last button on the left side Settings, then on the second tab on the top Users.
This will display a list of all users related to the Carrier account.
Identify the user and click the Delete button.
For security reasons and to ensure complete traceability of interactions in the TMS, deleted or inactive users will retain their email address, which cannot be reused for new users. If you need to reuse the email address of a deleted or inactive user, please open a ticket to contact the support team.
How to update a user's email in Fr8App
You cannot edit Carrier user emails.
In case the carrier wants to reset their password with an email to which they no longer have access, it is necessary to:
Add a new user to the carrier with an email to which they have access. (See above).
Then delete the old user to which the email to which they no longer have access corresponds.
