Beginning of the Fr8App Carrier Registration Process
The registration process on our platform can begin in the following ways:
- Commercial Invitation: Fr8app has a Capacity Purchasing / Procurement department, where our carrier representatives work identifying strategic business partners in the industry. Our representatives are constantly researching the market, looking for the best transportation providers for our shippers. You may receive calls or emails from our representatives, inviting you to join the Fr8App carrier community.
- Autonomously: you, as a carrier, can get to know our platform through different channels and advertising media and voluntarily initiate the registration on our platform. It is not a prerequisite that you have been previously invited by a purchasing representative.
Initial Registration in Web Form to Register as a Carrier in Fr8App
In either case, independently or invited by one of our purchasing representatives, the process always starts by filling out our web form. This first step is mandatory to start the Fr8App registration process.
You can access our carrier registration form here.
Fr8App Carrier Registration Process
The carrier registration process therefore consists of the following steps:
- Web Registration Form. First mandatory step, where the initial data and paperwork is captured and synchronized with external platforms, such as RMIS. There are different forms for different casuistry: USA carriers, MX carriers, Transfers and Warehouses, Maritime, etc.
- Auditing. Our Carrier Onboarding & Implementation representatives will audit the information provided, and will contact you personally in case of missing data or additional information required.
- Validation and Activation. Once your information is approved by our auditors, your information will be uploaded to the platform, and you will be notified that your account has been activated to operate in Fr8App.
- Initial Support Program. Your assigned Carrier Onboarding & Implementation representative will invite you to participate in an initial training session, where you will be accompanied through your first steps on the platform, set up your account correctly and clear all the doubts that may arise in your first steps on Fr8App.
Introduction to Carrier Onboarding & Implementation
Fr8App has a department called Carrier Onboarding & Implementation, where our team of specialized carrier auditors independently and objectively process and audit carriers.
The Carrier Onboarding & Implementation department is external to our Procurement department, so that its carrier audits are 100% objective and independent.
That is, in your onboarding process, you may have several contacts representing Fr8App working with you:
- A capacity purchasing / procurement representative.
- A carrier onboarding representative.
Once you successfully complete your onboarding process, you will be served by our capacity purchasing and operational team representatives for live loads.
However, your Carrier Onboarding & Implementation representative will accompany and contact you throughout your collaboration with Fr8App, as they are also in charge of:
- Provide initial training to carriers in the use of our platform and tools.- Provide ongoing training and retraining when necessary.
- Support you in your GPS and TMS integration processes.
- Complete carrier audit processes.
General Requirements for the Discharge Process
The following articles detail the process of the different registration options in our platform, however we share below some general conditions that apply to all processes.
We recommend you to read them carefully, so that your registration process is agile and fast:
1. No loads will be assigned to carriers until they are ACTIVE.
2. All documents must be in the legal name of the carrier, and/or authorized legal representative and signed if a signature is required.
3. Our policies, conditions and contracts must be accepted and signed. For US carriers, this acceptance is done as part of the integrated process with RMIS. For Mexican carriers, this acceptance is done by accepting the corresponding boxes on the form and returning them duly signed.
4. To maintain an agile, efficient and secure registration process, registrations must be completed within 14 days of initiation. In the event that complete documentation cannot be provided and approval is not obtained within this timeframe, our auditors close the process as incomplete. Once you gather all the necessary documents and complete all of our auditors' requests, you can initiate a new registration process.
5. Documents that require a signature must be signed and notarized. No clippings of digital signatures affixed to documents are allowed. If the signature provided on any document raises doubts as to whether it has been added by digital copy-paste, our internal auditors are obliged to reject the document and obtain a new signed version, in which there is no doubt that the legal representative has reviewed and signed the document.
6. No endorsements or endorsed invoices are allowed.
7. Documentation of different corporate names is not allowed. For related companies or companies of the same group, each one must have its own registration with its own corporate name. All the requisitory documentation must come with the same corporate name according to the RFC. In case of coming in the name of the legal representative, they must share the power of attorney, where the name of the responsible person is mentioned. For legal and security reasons, we will not accept any document that comes with different corporate names.
Exceptional Carrier Registration
In cases where, after submitting all the documentation, the carrier does not meet all the requirements according to the established process and verification, our team of auditors will not activate the carrier on our platform, recording the corresponding reasons.
We have an Exceptional Carrier Enrollment Process (ECP), where exceptionally, the file is escalated to our management team for further evaluation, where the file is re-evaluated and additional measures are considered to ensure the safety of Fr8App and our shippers.
Some examples of EAPs currently completed:
- Bureaucratic errors derived from RMIS. Our discharge process has established a minimum number of demonstrable accumulated driving hours as a parameter in RMIS. When a carrier updates its Motor Carrier document with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety, the validation or review process by the RMIS is undetermined and can take weeks or even months. In these cases, an additional study is done, in which it is manually verified on the SAFER website that the carrier actually has the minimum hours of service, and in addition, its performance is audited in other external databases such as 411.
- Safe and reliable carriers, who for different reasons have been late in some SAT payment, but all the paperwork of the logistics activity and its fleet of units was correct and up to date. They have been granted a grace period so that they have the opportunity to make their payment and obtain updated and up to date tax receipts.
